Apple made an announcement late last week night, that faulty logic boards may have been causing random restarts, screen freezes, and defective startup initiations that prevent the iPhone 8 from turning on properly.
So the good news is that, Apple has revealed that if these issues sound like something you’re dealing with, you can get your iPhone 8 repaired for free.
The affected units were purchased between September 2017 and March 2018 in the U.S, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, and New Zealand.
How To Check If Your iPhone 8 is Eligible
Step 1: Get your phone serial number (Your serial number is printed on the back of your iPhone in super tiny print or You can also find it by going into the Settings menu)
Step 2: Input the serial number HERE
Step 3: If your iPhone is selected, then you can have a free repair from Apple.
But you must remember that this repair is only for your logic board. If your screen is cracked or there’s any other kind of damage, you’ll have to get that fixed, yourself.
