Apple’s iPhones and iPads Could face Import Ban by South Korean if the issues currently on ground remains unresolved. What this ban stand for is that, the tech giant company would not be able to sell its iPhones and iPads in Korea until the matter has been resolved.
Why Apple’s iPhones and iPads Could face Import Ban
There is currently a patent disputes between Apple and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
The dispute is over a transistor technology owned by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), in which KAIST alleges that Apple has infringed upon it. Although an official ruling has not been made yet, but from the point of things it could be ruled in KAIST’s favor.
And if that should happen, iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, and a bunch of iPad models will be getting banned in the country.
However, how things will turn out remains to be unknown for now, but given how close we are to seeing Apple launch its new iPhones (which we are unsure if they will be affected as well), this is rather bad timing for the tech giant.
